WORKSHOP

Accelerating Alignment in Large Groups

  — Overcoming the challenges of time, geographic dispersion, and commitment

This half-day workshop lays out the fastest approach for achieving alignment in large groups. It provides a model for understanding how alignment is built in groups through the use of a robust process “engine”, an exploration of the technical and communications environment in which today’s leaders forge alignment, and a discussion of the new competencies and practices necessary for navigating this environment.

We will use presentations, a fast-feedback process, a decade of case stories, and lively open discussion to make this unique approach accessible to participants.

A strong solution for

  • Navigating complex change efforts and transitions
  • Engaging a large number of people, in a shortened time frame
  • Addressing difficult issues
  • Clarifying diffused priorities
  • Engaging a broad input from across multiple stakeholder groups

This workshop will be conducted by Lenny Lind, President of CoVision, San Francisco, and Gawe Gornitzka, CoVision’s Nordic region manager. Lenny and Gawe will share lessons learned from supporting over 3,000 meetings with the Council™ fast-feedback methodology, as well as preview material that will form a chapter in the upcoming book “The Handbook of Large Group Methods: For Community and Organization Change”, edited by Barbara Bunker & Billie Alban (2006).  CoVision’s methods have been utilized by numerous organizations including Sandvik, Pfizer, Nike, Ericsson, Bank of America, NASA and the World Economic Forum.
